sleep? mama? daddy? sleep!

amelie's new favorite thing is to "sleep" in our bed. usually she means please let me lay in your comfortable bed while playing my favorite cartoon on your tv. the girl knows how to live the life!

Rapunzel no more!

Amelie has been rocking a mullet for nearly a year and I finally got up the nerve to slice it off. It was bittersweet lopping off her curls but now she has a dainty bob which she won't let me take a picture of....so, here's the remnants! Here's to growing up!

Just Because

These pictures are just because she's so stinkin' cute and I love her.

Easter Egg Hunt!

Amelie's New Jersey Grandma (that would be the Granny of the east, we also have a Granny in the west (ohio), the north (new york) and the south (florida) staged a huge easter egg hunt for Amelie this past Sunday. It was a lot of fun and Amelie really enjoyed snooping through the house looking for eggs! It's such a blessing to have family in the area to spend time with on holidays! She looked so cute in her Easter Dress but wouldn't let me get a picture of her, at least the Picture People did and it is precious!

it's been a while crocodile

so, i haven't posted in a while because amelie refuses to let me take her picture. for the last month whenever she hears the camera turn on she screams and cries and throws herself to the ground. so today i thought i would try again and i got a few shots, nothing to write home about, but hopefully our camera phobia is on the way out the door. too bad she's got her unruly rocker hair today (refusal to wear barrettes or head bands or rubber bands or anything to keep it in place) and is eating a tape dispenser, go figure.
i am happy to report that after spring break amelie and i only have to endure 10 more weeks of school and then we'll be together all summer, it's like a dream come true, i miss that kid of mine when i'm teaching! i was trying to think of any new "tricks" she has but she's such a big girl she can do it all, she sings and talks and dances really superbly (even did the tango with daddy the other night, CUTE!!), she eats like a big girl and even tries to get dressed like one. i love her so much, she fills my heart with JOY! what a good thing to be a parent, i highly recommend it.
